When it comes to connecting with other countries, other technologies and other industries, the Vienna Chamber of Commerce (WKO in German) works hard to do so. As an example of their work, the Chamber of Commerce organises every year the Latin America Day for each country through its embassy to represent its country and to be a bridge for new business and partnerships.
This year, Ambassador Laura Gil together with the Colombian Embassy in Austria wanted to give a taste of Colombian flavours to everyone, whether European or foreigner, who wants to know more about the Colombian culture and its gastronomy. The Embassy together with Hola Colombia showed the great culinary variety of Colombia through tastes such as the Bocadillo Veleño wrapped in a dried banana leaf, which is a biodegradable, optimal and natural wrapper; like the achira, describing this sugar-free, gluten-free biscuit as the beloved treat for many and to be eaten at any time; like the chontaduro, a fruit so challenging to describe but surprising to taste; or like the plantain chips.
